Naast de medewerkers van het Highlandshouse waren er ook enkele deelnemers die dagelijks werken met kinderen met autisme en een verstandelijke beperking. De training was dan ook een combinatieprogramma van het Snoezelen met dementerenden en het Snoezelen met kinderen met autisme.
Mede op initiatief van de directeur van het Highlandshouse, Harris Burman en de familie Osrin is dit speciale programma tot stand gekomen. De totale training van 3 dagen was voor alle deelnemers een eerste kennismaking met de professionele toepassing van het Snoezelen in de praktijk.
Het programma was een groot succes. Alle deelnemers waren zeer positief en onder
de indruk van de mogelijkheden van het Snoezelen voor hun cliënten. Ze zijn erg enthousiast om direct aan de slag te gaan.

In may 2014, Ilse Achterberg of Worldwidesnoezelen.com in collaboration with Michele Shapiro from Israel, in Cape Town, South Africa conducted a dedicated training Snoezelen for the employees of the Highlandshouse. The Highlandshouse is a nursing home for demented elderly and they have recently opened its own new Snoezelen room.
In addition to the staff of the Highlandshouse there were also some participants who work daily with children with autism and intellectual disabilities. The training was then also a combination program of the Snoezelen with dementia patients and the Snoezelen with children with autism.
Due to the initiative of the Director of the Highlandshouse, Harris Burman and the family Osrin this special program was initiated. The total training of 3 days was for all participants a first introduction to the professional application of the Snoezelen in practice.
